Timeless Design grew out of my lifelong love for creating beautiful rooms and gardens. As a wife, mother, and animal lover, I’m dedicated to creating spaces that are not only pleasing to look at but functional and pleasant to live in.

I suppose anyone could have guessed what my life’s work would be. As a child, I let my sister play with the Barbie dolls—as long as I could decorate the dream house! Then, after college and marriage, I designed my own first home with the help of my mentor Ethel. A gifted professional, Ethel taught me the technical details and trade secrets essential to good design.

When job transfers took my family and me to Colorado and then Southern California, we built custom homes. These moves offered me a practical apprenticeship in home building and design, including exterior and interior style choices, regional accents, and the use of color and texture to achieve comfortable elegance.

After returning to Illinois, my husband and I bought a business, which allowed me to learn the pragmatic arts of business management and develop methods for ensuring value while minimizing expense. As we bought a home, renovated it, and sold it to buy another, I established a reliable and effective network of tradespeople ranging from contractors to specialty suppliers. These hardworking, talented professionals have become an important part of Timeless Design Group.  Friends and their referrals booked me for increasingly large design projects—until finally, after managing a complete home renovation, I launched Timeless Design Group as a full-service enterprise.
